Security Steel Safes: A B-Rated safe
meets a set of agreed upon insurance standards. The B-rating basically
wants a safe to have a minimum of a 1/2 inch steel in the door and
1/4 inch steel in the body. Plus drill resistant hardplate around
the lock. In the safes on this page there is no fireproofing in
them. Only steel. This is for maximum dollar to steel protection
against theft. Note the huge and numerous locking bolts. Each safe
also contains 4 predrilled holes in the bottom so that it can be
anchored to any foundation. I have personally taken a sledge hammer
to one of these b-rated safes and only made small dings in the door.
I was very impressed! You will be too.
As a side note: The high security safes on this page have No fireproof
material. The design was a maximum security safe that is affordable.
